The Qianhai New City Center Landmark is a celebration of the inspiring achievement of the Greater Bay region in Shenzhen, China. Its simple and elegant form is inspired by the Chinese cultural artifacts of china and the Bougainvillea flower from the Shenzhen region. It establishes itself as a physical manifestation of the culture and nature of this region in a single technologically advanced structure of achievement.
This design proposal captures the cultural diversity of the region into distinct thematic zones. This petal pattern is used to create six distinct zones of diversity. Each zone provides a unique experience with a distinct theme all coming together in a single unified garden.
Sky Islands is a collection of 99 islands elevated above the Qianhai Bay. This collective of unique places is defined by different beautiful moments and together form a single diverse public garden. The islands provide spectacular views of the surrounding city and bay region with a distinct and unique public space. Together they form a powerful and rich experience for the people.
The landmark grows upwards like the rich and accelerated progress of the Shenzhen region. It is a symbol of the spirit of this region - it represents perpetual growth and development rising high up to match the scale of the city and the mountainous landscape of this region. At the top - it grows even more offering a new type of public space for the entire city and the world visitors.
